A Gazing Romance

Looking to the stars

I found my gazing romance

She was my sweet heart

of so many years ago

I don't know why we ever broke up

we drifted apart

but when we were younger

and gazing at the stars

we had it made between us

Two moonstruck lovers

steering up at the heavens

not knowing what our future holds

but we finally drifted apart

like some young lovers do

regretfully so

But those early stars above

Made us fall in love

we would look for shooting stars

in the skies above

Wishing we could stay in love

But we fell on hard times

and we went our separate ways

as young lovers do these days

Never meant to hurt has as I did

But we both were very young kids

Young Love First love

Wishing it would never fall apart

Got off on two left feet

right from the start

But we gazed and we gazed

and we wished upon that star

that we would never part

 

or break each others heart

But that was never meant to be

We split like lighting hitting a tree

To be cut down in the morning

 

with the rising sun

New day started

another new relationship 

Has Just begun.

How beautiful! We can connect the unique character particular to our own memory of early shining times. The winsomeness of the blur between the shining younger days of love with the sweetness of time together under the blaze of night sky. This poem is a tale, almost with chapters of history.
