Granddad and the Turkey

Granddad and the Turkey

A Poem by Jacob Bryden
"

Crispy.

"
Granddad has burned the turkey,
He does so once a year.
On Christmas Day,
To his wife, he does say,
"I'll cook for you, my dear."

The labor is done by her,
Yet his is all the praise.
He puts the turkey in the oven...
And leaves it there for days!
