Reflections

A Poem by Johnny Jack
"

This is not just for your entertainment but also my means of clearing my thoughts and inspiring my mind.

"
Agony is what follows the best
As bells call for their permanent rest
The crows gather for his death
For this is not my final breath
My sorrow floods in around me
As desperation tries to drown me
Gallons of pain is all that follows
Within one mistaken swallow
I try to run, to find the way out
But the fog leaks in to hide my eyes
Joyful memories have never exist
As the nothing that blinds me is dismissed
Now to see is not to hear as
You see me cry but can't hear my pleas
Telling me that I am free
From what is what I try to ask
But you sip on your glass
As for all tyrants should know
The poison you fed to us is now
The death that follows distrust
Be not wary of what's around
It's time for you to sleep countless nightmares
Like you have caused me
This time no one will weep
