AjA Poem by Jacqueline Emmerson
My favourite books you put on shelves to be covered in dust
Art that I could look at for hours you said had no meaning Songs I would hum all day you'd turn up the radio to drown me out My favourite cafe I would always ask you to go to you took me to once Things that would clench my stomach from laughing so hard you'd tell me to calm down So when you told me you loved everything about me I walked away
