Do You Know Me?

Many people say they know me, many say it’s true
That they know everything about me; they think they have a clue
But do they really know me, the person deep within my heart
Or am I just another person, who you set apart

 

There are some people who hide their feelings deep inside
Who don’t think any one cares, they know they’ve denied
The truth that stands before them, I guess they’ll never see
That love that’s there for them, because they try to flee

 

There are those who express themselves and are hated for that
They conclude that they are unloved, cause no one wants to chat
They take a knife and hold to there body hoping to make it fast
But do they really know the things they’ve already surpassed

I am not like either of those, I am in between
I’m loved, and love to love them back, I’m an ok teen
One that loves to laugh, and dare to do more
One that likes to do stuff, that I did when I was four ;)

 

God made you  for who you really are, don’t throw that away
You are very special in your own unique way
So, don’t get down, when someone tries to make you mad
Cause remember your really special, you should be glad

It could flow a tad more smoothly, but i'm really picky about that sort of thing, sorry.

I love it. I love the rhyme and the story, especially because it encompasses most of what's been happening recently for me.
I like 'I'm an ok teen' for its touch upon how the age group is viewed.
I also think if could be longer and more spectacular in that way.
