Jotting A Note

 

I wanted to jot you a small little note
something sounding fantastic
could be used as a quote
something pretty and wise
oh so eloquently wrote
would tug at your heart strings
and leave a lump in your throat.

 

Something I'd written only for two
that you would remember
a bit of me just for you
try as I might I just cant get it right
this pen and this muse
are engaged in a fight.

 

Though it sounds so mundane
I've agreed to give up
so I'll just say I love you
like every other schlup
