At The End/The Thought of Them

At The End/The Thought of Them

A Poem by WintersChild
"

I dont believe that, those who are ready for suicide, dont think about the ones they are leaving behind. I think they do think of that. Perhaps they may be thinking this...

"

At The End/The Thought of Them

They will cry and morn for me
but only for what they were allowed to see
I'll leave a note, explain the truth
that the real me was lost right after youth.

My thoughts they drift and will not fill
the things in me that were lost to spill
they wander off into a void
alone, afraid...I've been destroyed.

The blame is mine, I know that's true
it's nobody fault, twas me...not you
time will pass and life goes on
soon your grieving will be gone.

We will meet another time
when life may be a bit more kind
and hope may be inside my head
but for now, this is the road that begs my tread.
