To This Day

To This Day

A Poem by WintersChild

To This Day

Fires will combust tonight
flames will drub and scream
you may think it is a nightmare
but it's not even a dream

The sickness of our world will meet
an engagement will be drawn
successor will receive this earth
and all it's earthly pawns.

Hate will be there on it's haunch
misery will moan upon it's perch
all the ugly feelings that we've
given life to since our birth

If you've lusted for red blood
today will be a wondrous day
for they will throw the meekest ones
into the torturers fray.

So, cheer on for the side you've chosen
watch the battle to full force
this is the day you've longed for
I'm sure you'll show no-one remorse.

It's way to late to save our souls
from what we've made our destiny
now it comes down to this day
and we no longer have a say.
