Through A Perfect Picture

Through A Perfect Picture

A Poem by WintersChild

Through A Perfect Picture

It calls you in the dark of night
through a slight of eye
bequiles you with a beauty bright
you'd never quess it's all a lie.

When daylight hit's it's morning mark
when your up close and internal
homeless lay in dirty parks
covered up with yesterdays journal

Hear the screams of crimes in progress
down a filthy dead end alley
walk the crowded sidewalks recessed
see the dealers dilly-dally.

Listen to the neighbors fight
so close you cant ignore
children cry in fit's of fright
and hide behind closed doors.

All this going on in a city by the sea
through a perfect picture
that does not catch the truth of it's misery
