Turn away

I see the beauty
In the world
Though I cannot deny
Or Turn a blind eye
To the scrutiny
It beholds

I cannot turn away

As we descend

When darkness appends

I cannot look away
I can not
I will not turn away

It cannot be unseen
I Cannot avoid the obscene

It seems
with all the beauty
We are all covered
In shadow
We continue descending
Into these gallows
Into these gallows

We keep sinking
Tainting everything
meant to be uplifting
I feel it all, see it all sifting
I watch as the world
Keeps drifting

And I can't look away
I can't turn away
As it all just fades each day
