Can You Feel Me?

When the other person should feel what your heart is giving. And they do.

I had a dream about you last night. Can you feel me?

My heart beats for you, as always. Can you ever truly see?

I breathe for you, but you know that. Our dreams, they collide.

And by nature's patience, we've come to love -- come to abide.

Was it you that performed that miracle of dreams that brought us true?

Or was it circumstance -- that meandering whim -- which brought me to you?

Whatever the cause, you are in my heart, in my soul... with my love.

With thankful eyes, I smile back at that angel -- that cupid -- the one who winked at us from above.

I can relate... when my sister died I often wondered if she could still see me, feel me and love me. Time was my healer, there was nothing more for me to do but wait until the deep sorrow I felt had subsided a bit. You may say this is a simple poem, but usually in simplicity is where you can a meaning (for the reader). The poems that have the big words and often showy are the ones that often go without meaning to the reader, for the poem was written for the person writing it. Your poem proves that you write for the public and this is a real gem. I enjoyed reading this and will come back and read it again from time to time. Thank you for sharing this with us. K
