Introduction

Hello, my name is Jack Salay. I have been an active dealer in the casino industry for over 25 years.

I have worked in major casinos in Las Vegas including the Mirage, Sands, Desert Inn, MGM, and Tropicana, among others.

What I am going to show you in this book is how the game of craps works and give you some insights on how to play along with some do and don’ts.

So sit back and make some notes, if you like, but remember there is a lot to craps and you may need to review this book again.

First of all, to play craps we need a pair of dice and someone to shoot the dice. Also, we need some chips to make our bets.

When you walk up to the game with your money, you should first of all look to see where the dice are. They will either be in the center of the table in front of the boxman, who will be sitting in the middle of the table, or the stickman will be pushing them towards the person who is shooting, or the shooter will have them and will be preparing to shoot or roll them down the layout.

You should wait until the dice are in the center of the table to buy your chips. This is done by simply dropping your money on the layout and saying, "Change please". From this point, the base dealer will put the money in front of the boxman and give you the appropriate amount of chips. You should pick up your chips and put them in the rail in front of you. Now you are ready to make a bet and there are many to choose from.
