Extra Chapter 4: My Hero Aademia

A Chapter by Jack Rock
"

The students of Class !-A take a lesson in baseball, to teach them more about the Pro Hero life, the game stops to a halt however.

"

The classroom is quiet, the room is filled with tension, anticipation, and excitement of what they are going to do today. They take turns guessing what activities will bestow upon them, training exercise, school tournament, or important lessons for the real world. Expectations were high, their teacher is Shota Aizawa, or EraserHead. He taught them many valuable lessons about how to be a pro hero, and most strongly look up to him. As he stands in front of them, looking as pale and unenthusiastic as possible, his unkept hair and mood would have been a buzzkill for anyone else, but not to his students. The class silently wait for his words of wisdom.

“Today, we will be playing baseball.” He said, pulling out a baseball to his little stand. The class erupts from shock, as they all say, That’s boring, In perfect sync. The sound of their expectations was shattered as is echoed thought the room, ErasherHead went on.

“I know what you are thinking right now, what does baseball have to do with being a pro hero? It does have nothing to do with being a pro hero, it does however teach players about how to be respectful to your fellow peers in the field. Many times, heroes work together to triumph over the crisis, it true for many cases, including some recently. “A hand was raised high up in the air, that hand belong to Izuku Midoriya, some classmates call him Deku.

“Yes Midoriya?” EraserHead call out to him. He stands and speak to the class.

“Pro Heroes work together, but they also have competition with each other for fame, even rivalries are formed with even the top heroes. Is the baseball exercise have some secret meaning to help with it?”

“Don’t overthink it Midoryia, baseball is a simple sport. Competition can stir within the hero world, it is important to stay focus on doing your job, instead of chasing fame and fortune for the people. All Might, the top Hero, stood in the top of fame for the longest time, he did not lose himself to fame and took down crisis to the very end of his career. Since he steps down from being a hero, the door to popularity is open for anyone to grab again, and I regrettably say that there been a few heroes before All Might, that lost themselves to fame and fortune.” The class was shocked to hear that, pro heroes looking for fame instead of being a Hero. For Midoriya, that thought hasn’t even cross him before now.

“This little outing for baseball is merely to control yourselves form making that mistake.” The class became excited again, it was an important lesson.

“Lately, this class works well together to win the tournaments, but you guys never had one between yourselves, this baseball exercise helps with that. Iida!” Another student stands up, he is the class representative.

”Yes Sir!” EraserHead toss the baseball over to him.

“You will be in charge of forming teams of 2, one team against the other. Once you have the two teams set, head over to the field. I’ll be there waiting.” Iida catches the baseball and salutes to the teacher.

“Yes Sir!” Eraser Head heads out for the door, as he closes it behind him, he hears the class arguing about who should be team captains.

Out in the baseball field the school prepared, the game has been going on for a while now. The final inning is here, the bases were loaded, both teams were tied in score. Tension was eroding from the entire field, everyone was trying their hardest to win, as ErasererHead promised the losing team would  do extra training over the winter, of course, no one wants to lose. Midoriya is the pitcher and has already got two of his classmates out with strikes, leaving the other team with a single batter to make or break the game. EraserHead is proud of his students, they’re in fierce competition with one another, yet they do help each other out, everyone is trying their best to be the winner. It was enough for him to not be worried about it in the future. He lets out a soft smile at what he sees.

The last batter stands on the plate, tensions were already high, it skyrocketed as Bakugo stands tall with the bat in his hands, he grips it tightly, staring down at his rival in front of him that is Midoryia. Midoryia becomes nervous at the sight of his best friend, sweat drips down is forehead, as he plans for what action he should take to strike him out.

”Deku! Throw it with everything you got. DO NOT go easy on me.” Midoryia sweats even more, should he grant Kacchan his request? He looks around to his friends, all agreeing with him. Midoriya holds the ball as tight as he could. He lets out 50% of his power, leaking out electricity from his body. He channels all of it to his right arm, and glances back at Backugo in the eye

“Are you ready Kacchan?”  Bakugo responds back with a grin in his face.

              “Bring it nerd!”

Midoryia held back his arm and lunges it forward, letting the ball fly at a high speed. Pulsing with electricity and light, breaking the ground below as it charges to Bakugo. He sees the ball in his sights and swings the bat with all of his might, making contact with the ball. Both Bakugo and the ball were fighting in a power struggle. Everyone was witnessing it, and the people at the bases didn’t leave to score, but instead watched this fight. Bakugo screams to the top of his lungs, the bat was winning. But, Bakugo slowly started to push the ball back. He smiles as the ball flies in the opposite direction, leaning to the left. The ball zooms past Midoriya, beam lining for the school security wall. The students quickly dodged the ball, not wanting to catch it. It was a clear victory for Bakugo’s Team.

The ball hit something, a loud pop sound rings throughout the air, followed by a bone breaking, and lastly a smack on the ground. Everyone was disturbed by the pop sound. They couldn’t make out what the ball hit. As the dust clouds formed in the area. No one moved from their spot, as they all waited for the dust to settle. As the dust clears, all everyone saw was the baseball sitting emotionless on the ground. Nothing was in the way for the ball to hit anything, and the wall is still too far away for the ball to hit it. Shoji was the first to react, as he spreads out his body and puts all of ears to the ground, listening for anything. Jiro also slams her ear Jack to the ground to listen to anything as well.

EraserHead comes to the rest of the class, standing patiently for answers. Jiro and Shoji weren’t able to hear anything out of the ordinary. Everyone wondered about it, they didn’t mistake the sounds they heard, especially a bone breaking.

“Alright class, time to head back.” The class awed at his announcement, especially Bakugo. He walks to the teacher as he demanded to do a rematch.

“About the match, I’ll call the match a tie and everyone will do extra training over the winter.” Some people were frightening about this.

“Head back to class, I’ll be there with you in a bit.” Bakugo was still angry, but he saw EraserHead was serious about this. He just sighed in defeated and followed EraserHead with the rest of the class.

The field was quiet, EraserHead was the only one standing there. The ball stayed in its spot as EraserHead examines the area. Both Shoji and Jiro didn’t hear anything else besides what everyone heard. There was no mistake that the ball hit something, or someone. He walks up to the ball and picks it up, examining it. No scratches, dents, or blood in it. He tosses the ball a few times in the air and yelled out to the empty field.

“Come out, I know you’re here!” No response. He tosses the ball up to the air several more times in the air, before throwing it at the place he thinks where the ball hit. The pop sound was heard again, the ball bounces in the middle of the air, landing back into the ground. Found you, he said to himself. He activated his Eraser Quirk, targeting where the ball hit. Another guy appears before EraserHead.

Sitting on the ground, with one leg reaching out and the other one bent in ways people can’t bend. EraserHead took a good look at him, blue pants, red jacket, brown hair and blue eyes, and an emotionless expression on his face. Who is this kid? EraserHead said to himself. He has an invisibility quirk and he doesn’t respond to pain. That broken leg can get a holler out of anyone, yet this kid isn’t fazed at all. With a leg like that, he shouldn’t move anywhere now. The kid interrupted EraserHeads thoughts.

“You caught me.” EraserHead moves in on him.

“Who are you?” I got to be cautious about this. This kid could be a spy or a villain.

“I’m Jack.” He’s surprisingly relaxed and calm.

“What were doing spying on my students?” EraserHead prepares for anything at this point. He had an awful feeling about this.

“I was sent here to report on the progress of the future Pro Heroes, I can safely say that progress is going great.” What was he talking about? I never heard of this utill now.

EraserHead’s withered scarf flies out of him, trapping and capturing Jack.

“Hey what is this for!” Jack yelled, EraserHead picked him up and started walking.

“I’m taking you to the principal, see if you’re telling the truth. If not, you will be sorry for lying to my face.” With the scarf around him and his leg broken, he shouldn’t try to escape, I still have a bad feeling about this. His scarf wrappings suddenly got lighter as somethings hits the floor. EraserHeads turns to the ground to see Jack free. What!? Jack saw his confused eyes and runs off to the distance. What!? EraserHead quickly chased after him. Using his Eraser Quirk, He was able to catch up to him. Jack ran past a corner and EraserHead was quick to follow, preparing to capture him again.

But, Jack was nowhere to be found. EraserHead stopped to look at his surrounds, using His Eraser Quirk to scan every possible space incase Jack was using his Invisible Quirk again. All he had to do was spot him. After searching carefully for a while, he realized it was useless, Jack was most likely long gone by now. EraserHead turned off his quirk, he didn’t want to use it for nothing. Jack got through my scarf.  He looked at his scarf, no signs of tear nor damage and if he remembers correctly, his leg was also healed. It was moments before it was twisted. Did he have multiple Quirks? He was terrified of the idea, the only person he knew had multiple Quirks was All for One. It was pointless to chase after Jack, if Jiro and Shoji couldn’t hear him, what chance did he had? He walks back to class, placing the memory of Jack to the back of his mind.
