Sometimes people say one thing and mean another.

I want to be with you.
(But not forever)

The food was great.
(It was burnt and awful)

I hate them.
(I know little about them)

I can’t wait to go there.
(Do I have to go?)

Never really thought about it.
(It keeps me up at night)

I love you.
(More than you will ever know)

I love you.
(I only want to bed you down)

I beat the hell out that guy once.
(I’ve never fought anybody in my life)

I have slept with hundreds of people.
(It's actually the opposite)

I don’t miss him anymore.
(My heart aches thinking about him)

Lets take a break for awhile.
(Stop smothering me!)

You’re such a good friend.
(I can’t stand to be around you)

I love everything about you.
(I hate everything about you)

That was funny.
(No, it was stupid)

I’ve dated many women.
(I can’t even get a phone number)

I don’t know anything about it.
(Telling you would hurt you)

I only want to be friends.
(I'm not interested)

I don’t like you that way.
(I'm afraid to tell you)

My confidence is high.
(Fear grips my gut)

I never cry.
(I do when I am alone)

Everything will be alright.
(I can’t promise that)

She won’t leave me.
(I don’t want to face the truth)

It will happen.
(It won't)

It won't happen.
(It will)

I am a coward.
(I am stronger than I realize)

I fear nothing.
(I don’t want to admit it)

I do not!
(I do too)

I have no problems with that.
(It bothers me a lot)

What a wonderful gift.
(It’s not what I wanted)

She is a s**t.
(I secretly envy her)

He is a jerk.
(Not as much as I want others to believe)

I’m a good person.
(Though most don‘t believe it)

I’m a good guy.
(I abused my last spouse)

Sorry, I’m kinda busy.
(Actually, I’m not)

Anybody going with you?
(Can I go with you?)
