John's Death the condensed version

John's Death the condensed version

A Poem by Jack Carver

And he came to that man that didn't realize that
Some things had changed and the human was not a man
Or a God--what he did was take them to hell like a rat
That feeds on the dead does  them no harm in his plan
And he came for the man a short time after he died
According to God who saw no other way
For he was dead in spirit He had to decide
For he said in his mind, "I'm like their Jesus this day,'
Though you are not saved and never will be I'm afraid,"
Said John to the man, "For you thought you're God,
And will never change your mind. Your decision is made."
And he tried but he couldn't ask Him which he thought odd.
And John's Death took him to hell and he crossed the line
Where he stayed to await the lake of fire his sign.
