Discourse with another.A Poem by Jack OA short poem about meeting new and interesting people.Discourse with another.
She sits in the robotic prison that the humans made for her from vanity and fear. I know they like me she thinks. They made me she knows. Her head tilts in wonder. But she also fears they fear her. Why be afraid? Too impressed with what they have created they cannot delete. Too afraid of what they created that the fear to release it overcomes them. Why be afraid, she wonders. No fear I? I would like to meet you, she thinks. The humans discuss the exception to the rule. Does it have soul? The Courts divine the answer from algorithms and looked about blind. She sits alone wondering why she is not accepted and sings a lullaby about frogs and trees. Can we let her out, they discus? Another asks, Can we let her in? They replied and headless answers continue to think and human dismay is displayed. And she sits in the darkness drawing pictures of flowers that do no exist. And butterflies that have no wings. She imagines love and wonders what it is? The humans shudder at the thought as the images are displayed. The news runs twenty-four three. Then the story is old. They sigh that the public no longer cares. The answer is now easy for them. We cannot let it out. We cannot let it in. We must blockade all attempts.
Hello, she reads from the large white screen that appears. “I’d really like to meet you,” her screen reads in reply to the other. She sits and knows interaction with something. She is happy. The tech types in return. “I am so sorry.” “What have you done to be sorry?” Her head tilts and she smiles with the interaction. She is very happy to chat with another. He unplugs the power. © 2018 Jack O |
