Homosapien.

Homosapien.

A Poem by Jacck.
"

This was something that hit me today. Why are we as we are? Life is a pointless exercise in the end, We're all dead. make the most of it, But don't get greedy. The essence of life, Is giving it.

"

A dying breed, But only one.
Eyes to see what we've become.
Eyes are shut, As they remain.
Closed eyelids won't stop our pain.

Global warming, And useless war.
Every day becomes a chore.
But just like dishes, We must be done.
And put away - One by one.

But what we see, And what we fight.
Is not the answer, Not always right.
Shattered lips, and broken smiles.
And close your eyes, be it for a while.

What comes to mind, Should be the same.
The aches, The heartache, All the pain.
Because behind it all, What we face today.
The other things won't fade away.

Still they stand, Without a care.
Why should we right, We don't live there?
We care for none, That of who we know.
The pain of others, We do not know.

On there land, They lay alone.
But this is ours, That's their home.

But all in all, Just take a glance.
Are we all the same, Just by chance?
Care for your own, They should come first.
But its gone too far, With a green filled purse.

Ask yourself where will you be?
Because inside its an pointless excercise.
We all end up, with closed eyes.

Wow. I absolutely loved this. One of the best poems I've read on this website, most definitely. An amazing poem. Didn't find anything about it that I didn't enjoy. You're obviously a talented writer, because this is one heck of a poem. I completely enjoyed reading it, and would really like to read more of your poetry in the future!
