i don't delve much into haiku, but this piece appears amply expressed. welcome to this site, by the way, and keep posting. there are phenomenal writers, reviewers, and people on here. you and i are formatic opposites i guess, because i find myself invigoratingly challenged by your use of capitalization. pain from past disdain is an excellent use of rhyme into meaning. what the speaker in a lot of the poetry i've channeled has taught me is that past pain can become a catalyst for future compassion. i find out about memories of what i've done, helps me to help others who've done the same. a large part of my hesitance to capitalize that you keenly picked up on, is because capitalization represents divinity in "Proper Name", and i choose to bring the speaker i work with down to the human level. after all, we've all made mistakes. the lower case i, even looks more human as a standalone symbol. Please stay, and show us more of that talent you're carrying.

I view capitalization as a more powerful way of expressing the message, especially in a haiku as you have less to work with, literally speaking of course. I don't usually write poems, but as I'm working on a manuscript I will not be able to post stories for around a year.
