A true friend

A true friend

A Poem by Ali Jaboody

A true friend never judges
A true friend never nudges
A true friend is always there for you
A true friend is always happy for you

But where have you been?
Where's the happyness I haven't seen?
You were just selfish and stubborn
Always wanting things your way
Since the day you were born
Why would I even stay?
If all you do is bring down a storm
Into our friendship
Everytime I try to find ways to be happy
You're there to bombard it like a battleship,
Tearing me apart till I'm sloppy

Its time for me
To stand up to everything I believe in
Never quit on my battles
Even if I did become abit raddled
Be less forgiven and stronger
I know ill live this life longer

If I change some of my ways
To the most positive state
Keep my head held high
Especially when I'm the one that's right

You're wrong
Admitted for once
You're going to lose the fight
Its my time to pounce
Better luck next time
It will probably get out of line
