Asleep

Asleep

A Poem by Joshua Carl Cruz

Her body
pretzeled
across our
bedspread
Arms
and legs
akimbo
Her hands
splayed opened
wide like
flower petals
on an ocean
of fine silken
swells

So, this is a poem about someone´s sleeping habits. Probably a girlfriend. Cute. I like it very much. It´s wonderfully written.

I liked this very much. I like when someone can paint a picture with only a few words, and you did that.
