Oceanic Cleanse

Waves in the ocean surf the sand.

They take turns lapping and slapping pebbles,

Throwing contents of the deep upon the land

Waves in the ocean surf the sand.

Playing along the reef like children,

And racing up and down the island strands

Waves in the ocean surf the sand.

Spitting and hitting water,

Teaching tidepools to grow, expand

Some day they will wash away the Land,

These waves in the ocean, surfing the sand.
