Abandonment

Abandonment

A Poem by J_P_C
"

Current mood.

"

The fear of abandonment and loss of love, the day you learned you lost the one. The simple things that kept you strong have been taken away one by one. Hour by hour, day by day, your place in life is now replaced. Never seen and never noticed, finding out that you weren’t chosen. Someone else has filled your place, you never knew it became a race.  It didn’t matter win or lose, in the end, you knew she’d never chose you. Body crushed, heart broken, wishing not to be awoken. All you had and all you gave, given away and never repaid. Broken down and left for dead, starting to realize it’s the end. Trying to move on, just to find, that everything you lived for, someone else now calls “mine”.
