My Soul

My Soul

A Poem by Jyoti Konwar

Crumbling memories of love
begets immutable afflictions;
wandering labyrinth of craggy thoughts,
reminiscence of ruptured vows,
scribble a part of my soul.

Hallucinating prospects of hope
awakens lingering happiness;
sanguine shades of sprouting self,
illuminate darkness of woes,
nurture a part of my soul.

The poem goes through the 'sanguine shadow of sprouting self' to ultimately nurture a part of the soul - thus rekindling hope. These are some reflections on reading the beautifully expressed poem.

I like this very much. The mood is lucid and dark and your detail is very well done. I like the diction in this too.
