LORD VINAYAKA, the god of hurdlesA Poem by Jvl narasimharaoVinayaka is the son of parvathi The Cosmic power and the evil destroyer He lost his head In his supreme duty to his dear mother And was put to death by Lord Shiva, his very father The universe saw the wrath of his mother Lord vinayaka became the first god in the hierarchical order And became the head of gods The creator of obstacles If we workshop him with devotion We will be saved from our commotion His big belly is symbolic of the need for a great appetite The long ears symbolize the necessity to listen well We should not always tell and yell Mental powers are greater than physical features The hand some and the beautiful are always not the great creatures The elephant is symbolic of strength and gentleness Man is symbolic of intellectual greatness May Lord Ganesha give all of us calmness! © 2011 Jvl narasimharaoReviews
