What does God really do?

What does God really do?

A Poem by Jvl narasimharao

OH! God, what are you doing?

sometimes you punish the good

and reward the most wicked

when the temples are looted.

the  thieves have escaped.

You simply keep mum

you can’t even stop the terrorist mayhem

When the virtuous suffer,

the dishonest prosper

What do you do?

Why do you end one’s life abruptly

and make the family a broken kite?

You bless a sick, discarded old human with longevity

and seem to have forgotten your duty.

Do you think this world is out of your control?

Isn’t it not your duty to properly patrol?

if things continue like this, the theists doubt your existence

and the atheists and the skeptics lose their all common sense

very deep. questions that are meant to be asked, but have no answer sometimes (and in this case, absolutely do) make the best pieces of writing.

Very deep and powerful write. I've never considered myself to be a religious person, hell, I admit even to cursing God for all my problems. Maybe this is God or someone working for Him 'cause I believe someone's been helping me. They say God works in mysterious ways for everyone, maybe thats true.

This is deep! But ultimately we have to give an account to God for the wrongs we do. Surely the wicked will be rewarded and the just will be rewarded as well.

I'm a Native American in heart and belief. I believe all things will come back to the bad and the good people. Karma is a fair judge. Men who live in blood. Will died and find the misery and mayhem they create in death. People who try to love and be kind. Reward will come with good friends and family near always. I like the way you made the point in this poem. I don't blame God. I blame the people who allow men with hate and profit to run this world. Thank you for a powerful poem. Made me think.

I love this. Best unreligious yet religious poem I came across.

Nice piece of writing. I had thought that the part of keeping mum was too modern but then i realized it wasnt ancient prophecy style you were using, It is modernized so well done.
