THE PURPOSE OF MY BIRTH

THE PURPOSE OF MY BIRTH

A Poem by Jvl narasimharao

Oh! God, You have given me a wonderful brain to think deep

Two incomparable eyes to behold, peep and weep

Two flexible arms to reap the natural and spiritual harvest

And at night you miraculously provide me refreshing rest

Two agile legs to briskly walk and to run on the track

A twisting and twirling tongue to sweetly talk

The two sensitive ears to listen to nature’s beautiful verse

and enjoy the rhyme and rhythm of this infinite universe

A mesmerizing nose to instantly smell

Two charming lips to yell and tell

The soft skin to feel pleasure and pain

and make my life really a gain

but You haven’t given  me the wisdom to know the purpose of my birth

on this gigantic rotating and fleeting earth

You will never let me know what happens to me after death

A beautiful piece JVL, I think we are here to love and perhaps some things are better left unknown. If we did not wonder and ponder about our existence what a boring life this would be. I think your God knows you need this sense of wonder to survive happily.

Whole lifetimes of questions we all have of life and death and purpose.
Your wonderful write has moved me and I find myself in deep thought. I wonder if our purpose is to experience life as it comes without judging it. We can call something horrible, as I have done with my own experience, only to realize later in life the thing I called horrible was actually the best thing in the world that could have happened. I wasted many a moment, many a day, and many a year feeling horrible about the thing I had judged as horrible... such a waste of time when I now consider I could have been neutral. I wonder how much joy I missed along the way feeling horrible about something it turns out was a huge blessing.

Very interesting piece and beautifully written. It makes me think of all the poeple who don't have legs to walk or eyes to see.. it sure does remind us to be thankful for what we have. It does for me anyway!

Now the endings happenings are left in the minds of the believers in Heaven..me I want to see a fast forwarded film that shows how God made everything and have Him tell me how and why???Valentine

Wonderful. This is my favourite of your work that I have read so far. The questions we all ask at some point are vividly asked here. I like the 'to the point' approach. A very fine write, thanks for sharing.

A wonderful homage to our Lord. I think we are simply here to love Him as well as each other. Rejoice!

This is excellent!
A prose type feel and works so well!
I always wonder why we are not allowed to know the reasons behind existence and beyond!
Great work xx
