A GOLDEN PARA FOR NELSON MANDELA

A GOLDEN PARA FOR NELSON MANDELA

A Poem by Jvl narasimharao

The man who fought against racial discrimination

Became the president for that very nation

He spent one third of his youthful life in prison

He was a man of great reason and vision

He spent most of his life without wife

With eternal and everlasting strife

He always stood for his unyielding principle

And he was one of Mahatma Gandhiji’s disciple.

He was a symbol of peace and justice

He tried his best to eliminate the vice and restore peace

He proved that colour and race

are not so important in this vast space

What is more important is merit and spirit

For annihilation of Apartheid he deserved the entire credit

With his sad demise the world lost an era

But in history Nelson Mandela earned a golden para

He was certainly a wonderful man. THis is a fine tribute to him. Gandhi also spent much of his life in prison. But these two great leaders overcame every obstical.

I agree. He is the example of integrity and honor. Few men allow us to know. Better to live a life for the cause of equality and peace. Thank you for sharing and remembering a missed man in our world. A outstanding poetry.
