GOD AND MAN

GOD AND MAN

A Poem by Jvl narasimharao

God created man  as if he were his own image

Forgetting that he would do Him a lot of damage

 man crucified His  son

Who came to wipe out  his sin

Man created class and caste

Without which his life is a waste

A great scholar of other religion seems a zero

But a goon of ours looks a hero

Even the great intellectuals are not free from this rot

They don’t want to change their  thinking somewhat

If we prick any human being with a pin

We can’t identify his sin

But we can see the colour of his blood

This is inevitably red

It is time we thought of humanity

And worked with clarity and great alacrity

I like the poem because if is insightful, thought-provoking and makes a good point: that all blood is red. But I didn't undersnd the lines: "A great scholar of other religion seems a zero/But a goon of ours looks a hero." A great scholar of other religions is surely not a zero...

A lot of questions brought to life by this poem. I feel God would be disappointed by the way man is acting and treating his fellow man. Religions of our world teach forgiveness and example. Not force and hate. I wonder what God thinks of us on this planet filled with madness and hate? Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

I agree..we all were created in His image so why hate others,,I just do not understand some of these other countries who kill innocent people and do not even know if one of their own family is in the crowd..Kathie
