A FOOLISH CLOWN

If I read your poem and comment

You will read mine

Even though it is not a gold mine

Or does not have any shine

Unfortunately, I am asking you to read mine

Without reading yours which is so fine

I am being paid the penalty

My poems have lost their novelty

The number of comments has considerably come down

The only think I can do now is to laugh at myself like a foolish clown

For my mistake the responsibility I own

Thank you very much for the way you have shown

In the Summer. People read less. I get about half the reader in the Summer compare to the cold weather months. I don't worry. I read and try to keep up with the read request. Good to read other people. I believe the more we read. The better we can write. You know I love to hear about your home, myths and experience. Have fun and be safe.

You are being so very honest with your words! It is sad that some only give a review when a review is given to them. I try to scan my "home page" and go and review the poems I note are new, or have been recently added......thus getting to review this poem as I am "on-line" and see it is a newly added one.
I don't take read requests as I was so totally inundated and have little time to spend when I am working with my poetry site.....but, I do try as I adore my friends here on Writer's Cafe. Some of them have never even reviewed one of my poems, while others are kind to post remarks - infrequently, or on a regular basis
