PancakesA Poem by Sixth MoonPancakes are lovely creationsThere once was a kid that liked to dream about pancakes Silky syrup covering large blankets of flour cooked in oil
He dreamed that one day his plate will be filled with them
He closed his eyes and watched his hand pick up the hungry fork
Oh how fluffy and soft the treats from the pan tasted
Smoothly going down his throat after each heartfelt bite
The gooey sweet maple syrup slithered down his teeth onto his tongue
Every time this kid had this dream,
There is a wonderful scene in his mind
A Gigantic pool of pancake batter in his pool
Good and Ready for him to scoop up as much as he could handle
Right next to it there is a 30 foot tall pan and bucket of Canola Oil
……………He has to watch is weight………
Pancakes and Waffles it’s all the same
With a little bit of chocolate chips, whip cream, chocolate syrup
Perhaps strawberry toppings with a little bit of cherries on the side
He can't wait to phone all his friends and invite them to the Pancake Party
Warm up the skillet, make ready with the plates and forks.
We are digging family, friends, and associates
Ode to the pancakes!
Pancakes for life!
