America, why?

America, why?

A Poem by Joshua Gerlach
"

President Barack Obama's announcement Monday that he is overturning his predecessor's policies toward embryonic stem cells also will include a broad declaration that science not political ideology would guide his administration.

"

I weep for America.
I weep for those who have fought this very injustice.
I weep for the one’s who will lose parts of them, flesh and blood, living and breathing.
I weep for the bodies of research children.
I weep for those who had hope;
The diseased people looking for a cure and will never find one.
I weep for our Country.
I have no faith in America anymore; I have no hope for it.
Change has gone the opposite way it was supposed to;
it was supposed to get better, it was supposed to save innocents not dissect them.
I weep for Americans.
I weep for the Scientists.
I weep for the president, and his Sociopathic ideals.
I weep for the thousands of fetuses who are being slain every week, just children, living, breathing organisms that will have no thought, no life.
I shed tears for those who cannot and will not.

I'm 17, I've trimmed down the number of writing projects I'm working on, and write in moderation and weekly-to-monthly intervals. I play video games while I think of what I'm going to write, sometime.. more..
