Automated

Automated

A Poem by Unisoul

Attention spans merely flicker at best.

Communication now paired down to fragments,

limited characters,

thus speed to execute more.

More of what begs the question.

Are we really connecting beyond the surface?

To persuade,

to share,

to offer humanity, comfort, or advise,

has the simplistic primitive connection ideology a reflection we passed?

From tweets, to social posts,

Is there substance,

or just distracting noise?

With heads focused down,

our attention immersed into electronic screens.

Addiction drowns out the mind,

lacking pure beauty and soul.

In a world,

where computers act as thinkers,

and humans with little if any thought.

We must choose wisely,

before becoming automated and caught.
