Songs for Ruby.A Poem by Joshua Lean
Home.
It is where all essence breathes, It is where my veins throb hard against My skin. It is where my lungs learn new things. I have brought what all of me is, Folded and creased in my wet humanity, I am never more myself than when I Lay atop the empty page. So, these markings are for you. I hope you take them. If they burn or rust. It is all the love that I feel, And all the passion my raspy bones gather. Alas beloved, you are that rosebudded star that stains my sky. You are Home. Upon the marble throats of dead poets, i bleed. for your eyes only. - JSL. © 2013 Joshua LeanReviews
