Misery Road.

Misery Road.

A Poem by Joshua Lean
"

This is for you, hard worker.

"
Hear the click-clack in the distance; another worn out sole, walking that dreary terminus, treading the asphalt of abandon.
Unicorns with the similitude of rabid dogs; gaze with technicolored vision upon broken hearts, heads moist with the tears of lachrymose stars.
Gatemen, menacing and erect as grandfather clocks, chant in falsetto.
And in the midst of hellish despair..hands reach for hands, souls for kindred spirits, as hope rushes through marrows like an infectious disease.

Very descriptive. Your language and imagery are well developed. Nicely done.

nope - my toes feel just fine. so does my imagination - and what you described here is richly descriptive. what i love about this text is that it doesn't limit my perception only to the visual - it goes beyond that.
very nice!
