Least that's what they tell me

Least that's what they tell me

A Poem by childofthedecay

Pitching pennies
in the fountain
makin wishes
never countin
the cost of loss
that's sure to come
paying penance
feeling numb
least that's what they tell me

walking sideways
do not touch
to much contact
to much stuff
makin wishes
dreamin dreams
nothings real
or so it seems
least that's what they tell me

hearing sermons
on the wall
taste not
touch not
not at all
do not respond
refuse to feel
in time your bound to heal
least that's what they tell me
