Fish in the Sea

We are told there are many fish in the sea

If you don’t like what you get the set it free

What happens if the one you find is already hooked

And you cannot find better, even though you looked

What are you supposed to do then

Go to the sea and start fishing again

It’s hard when you find perfection

And you share a very special connection

But you cannot share a life together

Only wait for better weather

Keeping the “friendship” in place

While there is hope, we both must brace

Because we are just a moment away

From a heartbreak that could go either way

I’ll keep chasing as long as I can

Until next to me you stand

Or until I have no choice but to throw my hook in
