There are four spaces you have to fill to really fill the desire to belong

There is a desire for all of us to belong

There are four areas that need to be fulfilled

I’ll give you some insight, I won’t be long

It can help you feel, for real

 

The first area is the public space

This would include all large groups

To get through this I’ll need lots of grace

An error occurred sending me there, oops

 

The second space is the social one

This is smaller with 12 to 18 people

This can include almost anyone

This can be even held under a steeple

 

A space smaller still is personal

This will include six to eight of the closest friends

This could serve as a time for confessional

A place where longing for them ends

 

The last place is much smaller and in intimate

This will include the person who know the most about you

One who will have no problem to wait

One who is transparent, almost see through

 

Belonging in one space is not enough

You need to find a way to belong to all four

Public, social, personal, and intimate even if it’s tough

All areas we should strive to explore

 

So let us try and fulfill all four spaces

So we can fulfill the desire to belong

Then we will have nothing but happy faces

And emotionally we will be strong
