Midnight

Our midnight escape

When no one is watching and no one can see

 

You sneak away to come find me

 

We spend the night talking together

 

Talking about everything even the weather

 

Above all others we have invested our time

 

May people may say this is a crime

 

But we know what we are doing

 

Enjoying our time smiling and cooing

 

But when we are found out

 

Everyone will scream and shout

 

I will be here to dull any pain

 

And to help the sunshine again

 

I can’t help the way that I feel

 

I am just hoping for the steal

 

So while we wait for the day

 

When I love you, I hear you say

 

We will keep sharing our midnight chats

 

While we giggle about meowing cats
