A treasure to me

Treasure can be different for everyone

It can be all manner of jewelry under the sun

It can be money, silver, or gold

Or maybe simply a warm place out of the cold

My idea treasure is the best that can be found

There is no way I’d ever hide it underground

No matter how hard you try and look

This treasure cannot be found in a book

It is right in daylight for all to see

I say this loud, proud, and honestly

You are the biggest treasure I will ever know

Your passion, laugh, and smile I’ll never outgrow

While I may not have you yet

I’ll wait for you with no regret

I hope one day you will see
