Time

We will all expire, make the most of what time you have

Time is measured in many ways

Some people measure time in seconds

I bet the sports fans would agree

Some time is measured in hours

Those who punch a clock would agree

Time can be measured in days, weeks, and months

New moms would agree

Time can be measured in years.

Anyone with a birthday would agree

However, some measure time differently

Time is infinite and time is limited

While time marches on, we all have expiration dates

Some measure time based on together or apart

Apart, time drags and can never pass fast enough

Together, time stands still but passes too quickly

When we are together it is a dream

When we are apart I am filled with longing

I’ll cherish the time I have with her

While apart I plan our next adventure

Time is my enemy and my friend

I will fight for time with her until the end
