Just ShineA Poem by Dream Weaver
Just shine, as you have so many times before, like a beacon of light pulsing from the shore. You and I have desires that have to be met, yet the more that we give the less that we get. Cry when your heart becomes battered and bruised, laugh when life’s tragedies seem to be nothing more then a ruse. Smile as you have in the past, speak till your voice carries loud and vast. Love me just like only you could, we’re both the same people, just misunderstood. Can’t you see they’re many of us, just far more ambiguous. We pretend that we’re happy in life’s little game, we shield the emptiness the sorrow the shame. The grass is always greener on the other side, yet still we falter and swallow our pride. We were made for one another is it that hard to see, not just a concept but reality. The choices we had should never smear our shine, the race isn’t over until we cross the finish line. Live, if only you choose to do so, love if only lonely hearts bestow, cry if the world cannot see, the deep correlation between you and me. © 2011 Dream WeaverAuthor's NoteReviews
