MisfortuneA Poem by Dream WeaverBelieve it or not this is about Alzheimer’s ...I close my eyes to misfortune, memories lost to the past, reflecting on this life I’ve lead, how much longer will it last. When times were good they were better then I thought, but when they were bad it was refuge that I sought. My mind was clear my energy productive, when it came to love I was so seductive. Times have changed as I watched with fear, I lose my train of thought with each passing year. Aging faster at the speed of light, no slowing down this endless plight. I lived for love but soon I’ll forget, everyone’s name if I haven’t yet. A master of writing my words now are blank, impeded and stifled no longer swank. I woke up this morning while getting out of bed, not a single thought passed through my vacant head...
