Closure

Closure

A Poem by Dream Weaver

Can I give you all that you want, Can I give you

all that you need, will you accept  me for who I am

a dusty tramp a tumbleweed.

I am but a poor man, with a heart as big as an

ocean, all I have is a roving eye, but to you I

would pledge my devotion.

Sometimes I say things I don’t mean, it all

depends on your point of view, could you ever

really love someone the way that I do you.

Can you feel the sadness now, as I stand alone

in the rain, how can I, begin to try, precious

memories still remain.

Can I give you closure and let you trust again,

or am I really too far gone with my head in the

lion’s den.

I know you don’t want to hear it, because you

heard it all before, I apologize deeply, given that

I’m a lousy stinking w***e.

I like this. Really wonderful poem. I love the tone and feel - beautiful. The only other comment I have here is that in the second line of the fifth stanza 'to' should be 'too' (if you want to be picky/grammatically correct) ;)

It's especially sad because I get what it feels like to have so much love and no one to spend it on. Nicely done!
