He stands alone
like an apparition swallowing empty affairs of the heart. Women ridicule him relentlessly cruellystealing bits and pieces
of his enduring trust.
For all he had to offer was a wholesome genuine love.
Such an unconditional love, tossed out into the abyssof misfortune untouched
by a women’s desire.
Still his hopes desires and dreams, circumventing his fears that
he shall forever remain cold and without any warmth.
His appearance he knows is worn and gaunt but hiscompassionate soul is
that of beauty sincerity and faithfulness
His vacant home barely big enough to containall the tears he will
shed, unlucky and misplacedin a life
of solitude and obscurity.
This was amazing. It let us see the inside of the character you are writing about. We may not have detailed physical descriptions but we have a heart of gold has been used for monetary gain. Now it is broke and lonely. The flow was smooth and the imagery clearly painted a picture of what the personality is on the character.
Wow silent scream, I felt tears spring to my eyes, this was a strong powerful emotional write! i wanted to reach out and give himthe warmth he long for! Great poem!
Powerful write...how many men feel like this? How many good hearted loving men are just cast aside for appearances? It's a crying shame!!!! Too often people are sized up and tossed out for being less than what "they" call perfect.
Thanks SS...you reminded me of something that erks me...vanity. But what's really sad (oh, you thought I was finished???...you should have known better) is that those who pass these lovely men miss out on the truest of loves.
Wow this blew me away.. Your imagery was so finely tuned, that I can still feel them deep inside my mind.. This was great!! I found myself going back over and over again, your words really touched me, and the fab thing, it so matched that pic you have with it!
This is a beautiful poem, finely written, 'His vacant home is barely big enough to contain ~ all the tears he will shed ..'
So sad.
I wonder when women will stop abusing and using men who look tough and manly, yet inside are the softest, sweetest all-loving human beings who just want to share and give.
We all need warmth, but for many they remain lonely, used and unloved. I felt such sadness for this man, who may never know love like he wishes to give. You write a very moving poem, full of loss, and sorrow.
