Phoenix Rising

Phoenix Rising

A Poem by Dream Weaver

Resolute to rise from merciless ashes,
I must confront these verbal clashes,

Once the Hero, reflected in your eyes,
now the scoundrel that you despise.

Inane carnage is all that remains;
I've never seen you so content with
your ill gotten gains.

Perpetual panic, a lasciviously cruel
manifestation, it’s just a mirage from

your ailing imagination.

exhausting every realm of factual

possibility, it is you not I bringing on

all this hostility.

Weren’t we lovers of epic proportions

in a world gone mad, we took more

precautions.

At some point in time, you fell out of

trust, you pulverized my passion

trudging love into dust.

Your tongue cuts deep within these

clandestine clashes, behold the phoenix

rising up through the ashes.

Very strong piece. Sharp words.
I like the end where he rises. Anger should not detroy us.
Nice job :)

There is hurt and strength in your words, one which we rise up
beyond the pain and keep going.

Wow! Magnificent job! The story of the phoenix has always been of some interest and inspiration to me. When love gets you down, you simply rise from the ashes! xxxx
