Ten Days Ago

Ten Days Ago

A Poem by JRC Talberg

She glitters with a smile,
She laughs long, loves slow.
She's pretending;
what they don't know,
is that she was
almost gone
ten days ago.

She keeps her secret well
behind big blue eyes,
shining with apparent happiness,
behind them only lies.

(She almost fell to the hell,
behind her big blue eyes,
ten days ago.)

Do not leave me here, friend.
It is too soon for the end.
I don't know how they keep on living
With you so close to the edge;
But then I remember,
They don't know
you almost fell
ten days ago.
