Scars are on the Heart

Scars are on the Heart

A Poem by JR-Maxwell
"

Not all signs of depression are signified by scars on wrists and a tendency towards loneliness.

"
Black jaws with teeth of razors.
Stargazers with chests ripped
and hearts gripped
by deadly claws,
seeking blood but no blood comes
seeking death but death is gone.
Scars on skin and nooses on necks
Aren't the only signs that misery wins.
Not once has blood fled
from this ones soul,
not once has death crept upon the door.
But do not be fooled by skin unmarred;
All the scars dealt have been done so on the heart.

Author's Note

JR-Maxwell
Constructive criticism appreciated. This was made for depression awareness as things are not always what they seem.
