Alone in the WorldA Poem by JOe
You said you wanted something about you
Something just for you So here it is, it's my heart on my sleeve And everything you wanted to see. There's always those times when I feel That the whole world is against me When I need to know there's someone on my side I don't even need to hear your voice And I know, that they can send in the drones And push in the fleet But I'll never be alone, when I'm all against the world. When I stroll down these empty streets There's only one thing on my mind It's the thought of turning the corner and being at your door It could be quiet, it could be noisy, it could be cloudy, and it could be dark It doesn't matter because I've filtered it all out And all I hear is your voice And all I see is your eyes When the injection took it's place And your virus found it's way To a stranglehold on my heart When it captivated me, and I couldn't move The only thing I could do was barely breathe Was it what you wanted, and what you planned all along? On our first night, was our first dance And I wouldn't have it any other way On our next night, was our first kiss And I wouldn't have it any other way... © 2010 JOeReviews
