stuck in the middle

stuck in the middle

A Poem by Joseph B Clipper

in her dreams she remembers
that she can never forget him
he means so much to her
but they can only be friends
and he's been tossing all night long
its keeps me more than awake
he's spilling his guts in his songs
how much more can we both take
the boy is hoping it can all be simple
the girl cant live with only a little
and i'm the one stuck in the middle
he looks at her like he use to look at me
but he knows he cant have it both ways
my dearest friend is having fantasies
we three cant be this way another day

Oh sounds like trouble in paradise. Bittersweet little ditty, could be a song.

'it' keeps me more than awake
