An Explanation

It occurred to me when I entered The country Fair Contest that Morris Dancers are very English.  Other countries may have equivalents but not quite the real thing.  The picture I use here is of a group in Essex and is typical.  Don't let Dancing Men kid you - these men are tough and their excercise makes them very thirsty, hence their liking for the beer tent.  I've had some good times with Morris men - though I wouldn't do the dancing for a gold clock.  I was simply going to change the Avatar and insert this, but I liked the bull too much so left it alone on the story.  I'm sorry for the quality of this picture, but it is out of a newspaper - I think it will give the idea OK though.   hope my American friends will have a better idea now what Morris Men are like.  Loads of tradition behind them.
